Stellenbosch Wine Routes represents the heart of the South African winelands. First settled some 330 years ago, this area blends spectacular natural beauty with a rich diversity of cultures. Unsurprisingly, the town of Stellenbosch count among South Africa’s foremost tourist destinations.

Besides wine, culture and nature, the region is joined by the various communities’ exuberant support of sport. With its famous University, the town of Stellenbosch has served – and continues to serve – as a cradle of sportsmen and sportswoman in various codes.

Together with its excellent sporting and tourist facilities, Stellenbosch is committed to showing the world that it is an ideal region to host a base camp for one of the teams participating in the FIFA 2010 World Cup. The region sports superb accommodation, an array of interesting sights and the most beautiful winelands in the world.

We are proud to announce that our hearts and our arms are open to welcome visitors to Stellenbosch during the 2010 World Cup.
