Bikes ‘n Wines

For the young-at-heart seeking an adventurous day trip that puts you directly in touch with the environment and all its splendour, this is a tour like no other and is not to be missed.

The full day trip begins with a brisk walk through Cape Town CBD from our meeting point in Long Street to the Central Train Station, passing historic landmarks such as the Company Gardens and its parliamentary buildings along the way. Upon arrival in Stellenbosch, the tour comprises tastings, and optional pairings, at 4 esteemed Wineries (Spier, Stellenbosch Hills, Skilpadvlei and Welmoed) with a gratifying lunch stop at Skilpadvlei and a swimming stop at the local dam. Guests will be informed about their surroundings and entertained by our qualified and highly competent guides and safety precautions are taken by them at every pedal of the way.

.

With the use of trains to the Winelands and bicycles within the Wine Route, Bikes ‘n Wines ensures minimal impact on the environment. Other social responsibilities on our part include the donation of a portion of our ticket price to the Lynedoch Eco Village and School in support of the Child Leadership Program to enhance the futures of the local schoolchildren.

Ticket prices are inclusive of bicycle and safety equipment hire, transport in first class train carriages to and from Stellenbosch, snack packs for each guest, all regular wine tastings, and a R10 donation to the Lynedoch Eco Village and School. Ticket price: R350 per person (Valid from January – December 2009). Group discounts available.
